Atlas Peer-to-Peer Architecture

APPA is a data management system for large-scale P2P and Grid applications. The objective is to provide scalability, availability and performance for collaborative applications which must deal with semantically rich data (e.g. XML documents, relational tables, etc.) using a high-level SQL-like query language. APPA uses novel solutions to provide high level data management services (schema management, replication, query processing, resource discovery, load balancing, etc.) in large-scale distributed environments.

APPA components are released in Open Source Software.
